Before and After Care

Here is some helpful information to help you before and after your

appointment. 

Before You Lash Appointment
 

1. Remove ALL mascara, eyeliner, concealer, and any other eye makeup before your appointment. If you can go without, make up the day of appointment that is preferred. 

2. Avoid using oil base products on face before and after appointment.

3. Avoid caffeine! Caffeine will cause your eyelids to twitch and can cause appointment to run longer than normal. It can also cause retention issues is lash tech cannot properly put extensions on due to movement.

4. Avoid hairstyles like high bun or ponytail, remember you will be laying down during appointment.

5. Dress comfortably.

6. Prepare to be there up to 3 hours depending on appointment

After Your Lash
Appointment

1. Avoid rubbing or pulling at lash extensions

2. Shampoo lashes daily with approved lash shampoo. Make sure to wash your lashes after working out, swimming, sweating, or crying. 

3. Brush lashes after shampooing with clean mascara spoolie.

4. Avoid sleep on stomach.

5. Refrain from using oil-based products on your face.

6. Avoid direct heat like blow-dryer, curling iron, and oven.

Before Your Wax Appointment
 

1. Discontinue using these medicines at least 14 days before your waxing appointment: 

These include prescription AND over the counter medicines:

  Retin-A (Retinols, Retinoids, Vitamin A), Renova, Altinac, Avage, Tazorac (Tazarotene), Avita (Tretinoin), Azelex, Finacea (Azelaic Acid), Differin (Adapelene), Epiduo (Adapelene + Benzoyl Peroxide), Topical Antibiotics – I.e.: Clindamycin, Erythromycin, Metronidazole, Benzamycin (5% Benzoyl Peroxide, 3% Erythromycin) and Prescription Topical Steroid Creams 

2. If used ACCUTANE, must have discontinued it at least ONE YEAR PRIOR to wax.

3. Please consult doctor if you use any type of blood thinners.

4. Exfoliate 2-3 times a week, stopping 2-3 days before your appointment.

5. Hydrate! Drink lots of water before your appointment.

6. Take Ibuprofen 30 minutes prior to your appointment.

7, Avoid scented lotions, creams, or deodorant in area getting waxed.

8. Make sure there are no open wounds in the area, this will cause appointment to be canceled.

After Your Wax
Appointment

 

1. Stat consistent with waxing, book an appointment 4-6 weeks after initial wax.

2. Avoid workout or friction including sex (Brazilian and bikini wax) and exercise.

3. Exfoliate 2-3 days a week depending on tolerance.

4. Avoid wearing tight clothing 1-2 days after Brazilian or Bikini wax.

5. Use post care serums with Finipil to help against bacteria and ingrowns.
